Pauline Hanson Seeks PM’s Support to Build Queensland Rail Line

Queensland Senator Pauline Hanson will this week meet with Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull over a raft of Central and North Queensland matters, including the rail line linking coal mines from the Galilee Basin to Abbott Point port.
The Queensland Labor Party had originally kiboshed the rail lines hopes of being built prior to the state election and now national leader Bill Shorten has supported Jason Clare who has said Labor will not support Aurizon’s bid to build the line either.
Senator Hanson said “My meeting with the Prime Minister will seek the Governments support to build and own the railway line as apart of Australia’s national infrastructure strategy”.
“This will be the second time I’ve put my case to the Prime Minister, citing the Governments golden opportunity to profit between $600 million and $1.2 billion each year from Adani and other coal mines within the Galilee Basin who all need haulage access to Abbott Point port. Without it, mining in Central Queensland will be stifled and jobs will be lost.”
“I’m tired of the Labor, Greens alliance which is reshaping and ultimately destroying industry and manufacturing in Australia. Labor were once a party for the blue collar worker, but they’re on a path to selling out miners right across the country and turning their focus on being a voice for vegans and bludgers.”
“The other 11 Queensland Senators might enjoy sitting on their hands, watching coal mines and their workers demonised to a point where they’re forced to close, but One Nation are right behind their future success.”
With over 1600 coal plants planned or under construction in 62 countries, Australia will play an instrumental role powering the globe and bringing third world nations out of darkness.
“Australia and more importantly Central Queensland is one of the few places in the world that can meet the demand for clean, quality coal blends for these new coal fired power plants. It’s imperative we’re ready for the demand and the Prime Minister must act sooner rather than later on funding the rail line.”

Pauline’s Priorities for 2018

With the first sitting of Parliament just over a week away, the time has come to lay out an action plan.
While issues like job creation, climate change and tax reforms will no doubt be constant themes throughout the year, the following issues will be placed highest on my list of priorities.
Immigration and sustainable population reforms:
With Australia’s cities, roads, hospitals, schools, water resources and electricity supply stretched to breaking point, why is One Nation the only party focusing on a clear, sustainable population policy?
A zero net immigration programme aimed at stabilising Australia’s population should be immediately adopted by the Australian Government to alleviate pressure on our struggling public sector and to relieve the pressure the current levels of immigration are having on the housing market and the availability of jobs.
More also needs to be done to make sure migrants are properly vetted and willing to integrate into the Australian way of life.
Lowering Energy prices with a “use it or lose it” offshore gas reserve policy:
The Australian Government continues to permit a treasure trove of offshore gas to be taken by a small number of foreign-owned multinational companies. These companies pay little or nothing for our gas, pay no income tax on the profits made on the exports and provide an inadequate supply of gas to Australians.
We must pursue tax reforms that force these mega corporations to pay their fair share and a ‘use it or lose it’ policy on all gas reserve retention leases granted.
It’s a fact that the Federal Government has granted 31 retention licences for offshore areas which contain more gas than we’d know what to do with.
None of these licenses have gone to production phase, with some multinational companies having sat on these reserves for the past 30 years.
This is driving up gas and electricity prices and forcing the expansion of onshore gas exploration by government, which is more expensive and a threat to the future of our prime agricultural land.
Banking Royal Commission & Review of the Family Law Act:
While we welcome the Royal Commission into the finance sector, I have fears that it might fail to get to the heart of the issues that have caused Australian families so much pain.
It needs to address the problem of liquidators charging ridiculously high fees, with the backing of their employers the banks.
My office has been working overtime to provide assistance to people negatively affected by malpractices like this and has already managed to save the livelihood of some farming families and in some cases prevented suicides.
I have similar concerns when it comes to the review of the Family Law Act. Unless the issues of domestic violence orders, child support, parental equality, the lack of judges and limited court time are taken into account then the core problems will not have been addressed.
We will closely monitor these investigations and we will do everything we can to make sure a fair and balance result is achieved so that the public’s confidence in the banks and the family law courts can be restored.
Cracking down on waste and fraud in government funded programs:
Australians are facing an epidemic of dishonest operators who are being allowed to rort the system.
They are ripping off taxpayers by providing inadequate services and taking advantage of vulnerable Aussies who need a helping hand.
This is occurring in communities across Australia, in industries from childcare to registered training organisations. Sadly it seems Australians in remote communities are the most at risk of being taken advantage of by these dodgy operators and it is time people stop turning a blind eye.
Waste and fraud is also rife throughout government run organisations and welfare services. We have seen obscene amounts of waste associated with the NBN and the NDIS and this has to stop.
Taxpayer dollars should help those most in need, not those with the most greed.
National security initiatives to combat crime, terrorism and radicalisation:
More must be done to create strict laws and regulations that protect our national security and reduce the risk of terrorism and radicalisation.
Migrants who choose to engage in antisocial, criminal behaviours should not be granted Australian citizenship and should face harsher penalties such as deportation. I also believe that under certain circumstances families of those who have committed extreme offences should also face the threat of deportation.
It’s high time parents start taking more responsibility for the actions of their children.
Water Security and the protection of prime agricultural land and our ocean resources:
This is an issue that is of particular interest to Queensland. I want to see a focus on ensuring water security for prime agricultural land by investing more in infrastructure like dams.
It’s disgraceful that we have a system now that incentivises multinational corporations to trade water for profit, with no regard for what is best for the long term future of Australia’s regional farming communities.
Attempts to sell off Australia’s land and ocean based natural resources to foreign countries and corporations will also be strongly opposed.
For instance, any attempts to allow foreign controlled fishing vessels into Australian waters, whether through changes to legislation or other means, will never receive my support.
Allowing foreign controlled fishing vessels into Australian waters is not only a national security risk but it will only further erode Australia’s fishing industry while endangering and depleting our ocean resources.

Hanson Puts Motorsport Precinct into Top Gear with a $5 Million Dollar Cheque

Queensland Senator Pauline Hanson has lived up to her election promise for Townsville, officially kicking in a surprise $5 million dollars, to build North Queensland’s first Driver Education and Motorsport Facility in Calcium.

It came off the back of an election promise by Queensland One Nation leader Steve Dickson, who pledged a further $10 million dollars for the Townsville project if One Nation wins one or more seats in Townsville, Thuringowa, Mundingburra or Hinchinbrook.

Senator Hanson said, “In my first meeting with the Prime Minister, we had a lengthy discussion about the need for a driver education facility in North Queensland, after it was revealed emergency service staff were being forced to travel to Brisbane for driver training.”

“The time and work invested by the President of DriveIt NQ, Pat Driscoll and his members over the past ten years has finally paid off.”

Senator Hanson recalled her first meeting with Mr Driscoll who outlined a business model that not only saved lives, but injected $35 million dollars annually into the local economy and created a minimum of 90 full time jobs.

“This was one of the few non-for-profit organisations that had a solid business model ,which made itself sustainable once it was up and running. It made it very easy for me to lobby the Government and have this funding made available,” Senator Hanson said.

“The cost of road trauma across Australia is in the tens of billions of dollars and I’ve long called for a compulsory driver program for all first time license holders, including international motorists. This facility puts us one step closer to that goal and I’m sure parents will make the most of their services once it is up and running.”

“This driving facility will save lives throughout North Queensland and I’m thrilled to have played a part in ensuring it gets off the ground.”

“One Nation has proven we are capable of delivering on election promises for North Queensland and I’d welcome Council, business and the community to work with my office and other elected One Nation members to achieve better outcomes for the North.”

One Nation Commits $10 Million Dollars for Driver Education Facility in Townsville

Queensland One Nation Senator, Pauline Hanson and State leader Steve Dickson will unveil a commitment of $10 million dollars to build North Queensland’s first Driver Education and Motorsport Facility in Calcium this Friday.

The $10 million dollar pledge has been made, should One Nation hold the balance of power in Queensland with one or more seats in Townsville, Thuringowa, Mundingburra or Hinchinbrook in the upcoming State election.

Mr Dickson said “We have over 1400 Police in North Queensland that will benefit from this facility. Police will soon avoid the need to travel to Brisbane for driver training purposes, not to mention other emergency service personnel including Ambulance, Fire and SES workers.”

University of Queensland research says over 25,000 serious road incidents occur each year in Australia and Queensland trauma incidents equate to billions of dollars of expense to the Queensland Government.

“If we can reduce fatal and non-fatal accidents throughout Queensland by introducing better driver training, we will reduce the human costs including hospitalisation, disruption to employment, vehicle repairs, cut down emergency service call outs and most importantly the loss of loved ones,” Mr Dickson said.

“DriveIt North Queensland have been calling for Government support on this project for 10 years. It’s about time the facility became a reality.”

“There aren’t too many organisations who can promote a self funding model once the facility is built and have the support of not only the community, but organisations like the RACQ and CAMS.”

“One Nation are committed to saving lives, creating much needed full time jobs in Townsville and keeping money in the North instead of losing it to Brisbane”.

Mr Dickson believes One Nation will win a number of North Queensland seats and is confident an early election would see the DriveIt NQ facility start works in early 2018 with One Nation’s commitment.

Extra Training for Police Officers Made Easier Under One Nation Plan

Under a new One Nation proposal announced today, Police Officers would be granted approval to improve their firearm skills and practice with their service pistol outside of mandatory practice sessions.

Currently Police officers in Queensland are required to purchase an identical firearm at their own expense if they wish to improve their shooting skills outside of their mandatory training sessions.

“I’m sure everyone agrees we want it to be as easy as possible for our Police Force to train and improve,” Senator Hanson said, “I think this policy is just common sense.”

“In the past, police officers were permitted to train with their service weapon but because of old target shooting regulations when the Glock was brought into service this was discontinued.”

“I think it is time to update this outdated law so those dedicated members of the police force who wish to become more proficient with their firearms have as much assistance as possible.”

One Nation’s proposal would mean that Police Officers who hold a concealable firearm license would be allowed to attend their pistol club and use their service weapon for practice and matches.

They would also be permitted to take their firearm home either side of the training provided they had an approved firearms safe at their residence.

The Senator also announced plans to lobby Federal Treasurer Scott Morrison to allow Police officers to claim target practice ammunition as a tax deductible expense.

LNP Announces Plan to Sell QLD Assets by Stealth

In a shocking campaign pledge, opposition leader Tim Nicholls has today announced the LNP is suggesting plans to give away Queensland’s assets by stealth.

Outlining the details of his stealth asset sales promise, Mr Nicholls explained he would raid the Northern Infrastructure fund for billions of taxpayer dollars to allow corporations to build and control any new power stations in Queensland under the LNP.

“First the Liberal Nationals stood by and gave away the Adani Rail line, which would have generated the people of Queensland tens of billions in profits, and now they and want to give away the rights to our power in Queensland,” Senator Hanson said.

“Why is the Liberal National Party so against asset retention in this state?”

“Tim Nicholls wants to give away our power to his billionaire buddies, One Nation wants to give all the power to the people of Queensland.”

“It’s the short sighted sale of our assets that has driven up electricity prices. It’s time for Tim to come clean and tell the truth – under the LNP everything is for sale.”

“It looks like Tim wants to help the PM’s Saudi billionaire mates, by handing them a few billion more so they can hold Queensland residents and business to ransom over power prices.”

In contrast One Nation has committed to building a coal fired power station in North Queensland and ensuring the rights are retained by the people of Queensland.

“Unless these assets are owned by the people of Queensland, there will be no guarantee of cheap, reliable electricity,” Senator Hanson said.

“Mr Nichols again shows he is totally out of his depth. He proved that when he announced he would not support the $5.4 Billion cross river rail blowout but then voted with Labor to fund it.”

“I think we should look to see if Tim’s middle name is ‘incompetent’ because if he continues down the path of asset sales by stealth, he might as well be handing the election to Labor.”

In stark contrast to the Liberal and labour party, Senator Hanson reconfirmed One Nation’s commitment to protect and reinvest in Queensland assets.

Pauline Hanson visits Gold Coast

Cost of living, law and order, infrastructure spending and bringing down the price of electricity were the major topics of discussion on Queensland Senator Pauline Hanson’s visit to the Gold Coast.

Senator Hanson met with locals and small business as she made her way through the Gold Coast stopping in at Mudgeeraba, Oxenford, Hope Island and Upper Coomera.

“What I am hearing is the big issue for people on the Gold Coast is the cost of electricity and roads,” Senator Hanson said.

“It’s the same all over Queensland and Australia, that’s why One Nation is fighting the tired old parties for more coal fired power stations so we can do something about these absurd electricity costs.”

Senator Hanson was also concerned about the pressure being placed on infrastructure and essential services from population growth.

“The Gold Coast is growing and its highways, railways and bridges need urgent upgrades,” Senator Hanson said.

“When it comes to developing infrastructure on the Gold Coast I think the duplication of the Jabiru Island bridges should be a priority.”

“We also need to look at providing more assistance to the police force. I’m hearing there is a shortage of officers, and a lack of resources such as police cars that really need to be addressed.”

Senator Hanson also met with One Nation’s Gold Coast candidates for the upcoming state election to get their take on the issues effecting Queensland.

Brenden Ball will be standing in the seat of Broadwater, Andrew Liddell in the seat of Mudgeeraba, Darrel Lane in the seat of Theodore and Ronald Pigdon in the seat of Coomera.

“I’m very proud to have such a strong One Nation team representing the Gold Coast,” Senator Hanson said.
