Hanson Acts To End Pandemic Of Discrimination

Media Release

21 October 2021

One Nation leader Senator Pauline Hanson will today introduce legislation making it unlawful to discriminate against Australians who exercise their right to choose not to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

“I’m bringing this legislation to the Senate because I see no other alternative for halting the pandemic of discrimination that has been unleashed in Australia against individuals who don’t get vaccinated against COVID-19, regardless of the reason why they don’t,” Senator Hanson said.

“These individuals are Australians just like the rest of us but they’re demonised by governments and scorned at by compliant media. They face a bleak future in which they are treated as second-class citizens, not allowed to earn a living or cross a state border to be reunited with their families. Many have already had their livelihoods taken from them for standing for the right to choose. There’s no protection even for those people who can’t get vaccinated for medical reasons. They face unacceptable discrimination too.

“In the Northern Territory for example, anyone with a job involving public interaction has been ordered to get the jabs by 13 November or lose their job and cop a $5000 fine. It’s pure discrimination and naked coercion in a jurisdiction which has had just over 200 cases and not one single death from COVID-19.

“All of this discrimination sends a clear message: the rights of the individual will be protected only so long as they do not conflict with the state. There is nothing – not even a global pandemic – more dangerous to a free society. Australia is a democracy, not a totalitarian state or communist dictatorship.

“One Nation is not anti-vaccine. One Nation is pro-choice. Personally I will not allow myself to be bullied, threatened or coerced into a medical procedure I’ve decided against. That’s my choice. I’m fighting for every Australian’s right to make their own choice. I’m standing against the bullying, threats and coercion which have no place in a free society like ours.”

Senator Hanson said the legislation was also a necessary response to Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s profound lack of leadership during the pandemic.

“State premiers are walking all over the Prime Minister and his so-called national plan, locking down communities at the whiff of a new case and refusing to commit to the open borders that are the constitutional right of every Australian citizen,” she said.

“Scott Morrison is impotent in preventing it. He’s too gutless to admit the Constitution forbids the Commonwealth from authorising civil conscription with respect to medical services, so he lets the states and territories trample all over our right to choose, take away our jobs, separate our families and isolate our communities.

“Scott Morrison is clearly not fit to lead this country if he won’t stand up for Australians’ right to choose.”

ONE NATION DELIVERS WARNING TO “NAT ZEROS” OVER CLIMATE CHANGE CUTS

Media Release

16 October 2021

One Nation will double its advertising budget in seats held by the National Party if Barnaby Joyce signs up to any new United Nations climate deals ahead of the Federal election.

One Nation leader Senator Pauline Hanson said she would act to protect jobs in agriculture and mining if the Nationals failed regional Australia and supported agreement with the UN’s COP26 climate change goals in Glasgow.

“Australia is being unduly pressured by unelected UN bureaucrats to leave our highly efficient coal in the ground, dismantle our timber industry, kill off petrol and diesel engines and give away billions of dollars in subsidies to multinationals operating unreliable solar and wind farms,” Senator Hanson said.

“No thanks. If the National Party signs up to this they have a greater chance of dying from embarrassment and political oblivion than they do from climate change. We’ll target their seats by doubling our advertising budget and rolling out our Nat-Zero campaign.”

Senator Hanson said research commissioned by the Institute of Public Affairs cited the loss of an estimated 653,000 jobs should Australia surrender its sovereignty to the UN by committing to net zero emissions by 2050.

“Almost half of these job losses will be in the agriculture sector, followed by heavy industry and coal mining,” she said. “Why would the Nationals, the so-called champions of regional Australia, sign on to a deal that will destroy jobs in regional Australia?”

One Nation has committed to running candidates in all 151 seats in the House of Representatives across the country at the next Federal election.

Cancel Culture Strikes Again

STATEMENT

30/9/2021

Last night at 9:56pm, my office received an email to advise a podcast I’d participated in some weeks ago with Jessica Rowe was being pulled.

I note throughout the day that Jessica was sent several tweets, condemning her for conducting a non-political interview with me.

We discussed my grandkids, family, how to cope with public pressure and depression, as well as some other non-controversial matters in a 30-minute podcast.

Twitter haters bombarded Jess online to a point where she obviously felt pressured to remove the podcast.

Her producer wrote in her email:

………

I wanted to let you know that beyond today we won’t be able to publish Pauline’s episode with Jess Rowe.

We’ve spoken with Jess and her manager tonight who have decided they want to remove the episode.

I apologise for any inconvenience.

………

Cancel culture in this country is killing debate, freedom of speech, and shutting down conservative political representation.

While I’m disappointed with Jess and her manager’s decision to remove the podcast, I also recognise how much pressure keyboard warriors can put on a person like Jessica who openly discussed with me in the interview how public opinion has impacted her mental wellbeing.

The removal of this innocuous podcast is a step in the wrong direction for conservative Australians.

Keyboard warriors may have had a win this round, but people can stay in touch with me by signing up as a One Nation supporter by clicking the link below.

One Nation Sets Sights On Contesting 151 Seats

STATEMENT

27th September 2021

2022 Election update

While we have no firm election date, it’s anticipated the Prime Minister will go to the polls in March next year. This provides just 5 months to finalise One Nation’s pre-selection process.

For the first time since 1998, Pauline Hanson’s One Nation will run in all 151 House of Representative seats at the upcoming 2022 federal election.

We hope to achieve this bold target with the support of our growing Membership and advocates of One Nation’s common-sense policy approach.

One Nation can increase its influence and maintain the balance of power in the federal parliament, provided we stand in every lower house seat.

Why do political news polls never match the real Election Day polling results?

Historical data sets the guide as to which parties are included in political opinion polls.

Unless a party ran candidates in every House of Representatives seat at the 2019 Federal Election, they are commonly referred to as ‘other’ when polls are conducted.

Ambiguous polling undertaken by Newspoll for example shows the support for One Nation at just 3%. The inaccuracy of this surveying method is highly misleading.

In 2019, One Nation ran just five candidates out of 47 seats in New South Wales. Meanwhile just four candidates out of 38 seats in Victoria.

Western Australia on the other hand ran in all 16 seats, and in Queensland, the party ran in 28 out of 29 electorates. One Nation did not run a candidate against Queensland MP, Bob Katter in the seat of Kennedy.

The importance of running candidates in all 151 lower house seats will not only enhance the party’s prospects of winning House of Reps and Senate seats but ensure a true reflection of the national support for Pauline Hanson’s One Nation.

If you would like to support One Nation and the community you live in, now is the time to nominate.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Regards

Pauline Hanson

One Nation Set To Announce Candidate After Fitzgibbon Quits The Hunter

Media Release

13 September 2021

Labor’s lurch to the left had an obstacle removed today with the announcement of Hunter MP Joel Fitzgibbon’s retirement at the next Federal election.

One Nation leader Senator Pauline Hanson said Mr Fitzgibbon had been one of the few remaining voices of reason in the Australian Labor Party.

“Mr Fitzgibbon saw the writing on the wall at the last election when One Nation benefitted strongly from a massive swing against Labor in his coalmining seat of Hunter,” Senator Hanson said.

“It was a serious wake-up call that Labor’s coddling of the green left vote had alienated its traditional worker base and threatened coal mining jobs in the Hunter Valley. It’s to Mr Fitzgibbon’s credit that he didn’t ignore this wake-up call and sought to shift Labor back to the party which represented workers while promoting the Australian resources sector.

“Mr Fitzgibbon tried to warn Labor it was at risk of splitting into two parties if it didn’t reduce the influence of left-wing activists and climate alarmists, and even quit the frontbench over disagreements with Labor’s climate zealots.

“His resignation removes an obstacle for those in Labor who want to sacrifice mining workers on the altar of climate change. Global warming ideology continues to wreak havoc in Australia’s major political parties and has claimed the scalp of one of the few last voices of reason against it.

“Fortunately, the 40,000 people employed in Australia’s coal industry still have a voice of reason representing their interests in Parliament. One Nation will continue to fight for coal industry jobs against the global forces trying to close the industry down.

“One Nation will be announcing its candidate to contest Hunter at the next Federal election in the next 48 hours.”

One Nation shines light on JobKeeper accountability and calls for overpayments to be recovered

MEDIA RELEASE

2 September 2021

Publicly-listed companies which have received JobKeeper payments will be held to account for their claims under a One Nation amendment to treasury legislation was passed in the Senate today with the support of the government, the Opposition and independent senator Rex Patrick.

One Nation leader Senator Pauline Hanson said the amendment, requiring listed entities to provide JobKeeper payment information to be published by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), was an important first step towards accountability.

“We want the government held accountable for the poor design of JobKeeper, along with JobKeeper recipients who enriched themselves at taxpayers’ expense,” Senator Hanson said.

“Listed entities will be required to provide a notice to market regulators disclosing the number of individuals for whom JobKeeper was received, the total received, and whether the entity had voluntarily paid any of the money back.

“This information would then be published by ASIC in a consolidated report. Listed entities’ financial details are a matter of public record, so they can be matched with the report to determine if entities have enriched their executives at taxpayers’ expense.”

Senator Hanson said unsuccessful amendments moved by Labor and independent senator Rex Patrick failed to implement real accountability.

“They were transparency measures which didn’t lead to accountability, and One Nation was concerned it was little more than a naming and shaming exercise conscripting the public to put undue pressure on the small businesses which have borne the brunt of lockdowns,” she said.

“It was essentially grandstanding that would not produce any real accountability outcomes, but potentially lead to unintended negative consequences. I challenged Labor to introduce their own amendment to recover JobKeeper overpayments, but they’re too gutless.”

Senator Hanson also called on the government to introduce legislation addressing the poor design of JobKeeper.

“JobKeeper legislation needs to be amended to introduce some retrospectivity and enable the recovery of JobKeeper overpayments,” she said.

Calls To Open Borders Following Afghanistan Collapse Must Be Resisted

MEDIA RELEASE

17 August 2021

One Nation leader Senator Pauline Hanson has called on the government to resist the inevitable calls from Labor and the Greens to open Australia’s borders to a new flood of refugees following the collapse of order in Afghanistan.

“Bleeding hearts in Labor and the Greens would happily open the floodgates to a new wave of arrivals in their scramble for the far-left vote,” Senator Hanson said.

“Unfortunately, a generation of people from the region has been exposed to a fundamentalist ideology incompatible with life in Australia. Recent arrivals have been unwilling to assimilate into our way of life, and instead have been intent on destroying it.

“As Afghanistan descends into chaos under the Taliban, Australia doesn’t have the resources to properly vet anyone to ensure we’re not letting terrorists into our community.

“There are 44 other Islamic countries in the world better suited to Afghans fleeing the Taliban, while Australia is not in any position to accommodate a flood of them. We already have a housing crisis with a shortfall of 650,000 homes, skyrocketing public debt, growing urban congestion and massive dependency on welfare that has only been exacerbated by lockdowns and the COVID-19 pandemic.

“While Australia must provide a safe haven to Afghans who have worked directly with our forces, we must not open the floodgates to waves of undocumented arrivals again.

“After 20 years of conflict, which cost Australia 41 lives and billions of dollars, we again face the prospect of the Taliban allowing Afghanistan to be a base from which Islamic terrorists can operate with impunity.

“There are already obvious signs the Taliban today is no different to the regime which controlled Afghanistan in the 1990s. They have released thousands of terrorists from prison as they retake the country. We have to make sure they don’t threaten Australia.”

International Borders Must Not Remain Open While States Are Shut Down

MEDIA RELEASE

Australia’s international border should be closed to non-Australian citizens until Christmas to protect the nation from variants of COVID-19 which the government claims are more dangerous.

One Nation leader Senator Pauline Hanson said Prime Minister Scott Morrison should shut the international border or kiss his government goodbye.

“More than 1.67 million people have flooded into Australia during the COVID-19 pandemic while Australians themselves are virtually imprisoned in their own states and their own homes,” Senator Hanson said.

“It’s an appalling double standard. Australian workers and families can’t cross domestic borders yet thousands upon thousands of international workers and visitors have been given a free pass to cross the international border.”

Senator Hanson said the latest international visa and arrival data revealed the Morrison Government issued more than 20,000 visas in June this year, and more than 164,000 since April last year.

These included more than 46,000 work-related visas, more than 25,000 temporary visitor visas, almost 3000 student visas, more than 26,000 permanent family visas and more than 63,000 other permanent and temporary visas.

“While the Prime Minister keeps the international border open, premiers continue to slam shut state borders and put millions of people into lockdowns that are destroying jobs and businesses, breaking our economy and leaving a huge legacy of public debt,” Senator Hanson said.

“Scott Morrison may not be able to control state borders but he can shut the gate to the foreign arrivals who have been bringing COVID-19 to our shores, triggering outbreaks and lockdowns. The way this government is going, they face a bloodbath at the next election and we’ll be stuck with a Labor government which will spend even more and send the nation broke.

“We can’t continue with these lockdowns. Something has to give.”

Prime Minister’s Closing the Gap Speech and Handout Promises as Hollow as a Digeridoo

STATEMENT

5th August 2021

Despite every effort to Close the Gap between First Nation descendants and Australians of all colour and creed, we continue to entrench the victimhood status with endless cash handouts and infinite apologies.

I stand here as an elected Member of this Parliament as a Voice for all Queenslanders and all Australians.

And any suggestion to legislate or change our constitution to incorporate ‘A Voice To Parliament’ will be strongly opposed by One Nation.

As my friend and granddaughter of Paddy Uluru has repeatedly said, “How can you have indigenous people in parliament, and advising parliament, who have never lived an ‘Aboriginal life’?

There is no incentive to Close the Gap because there are so many businesses and bureaucrats whose livelihoods solely depend on division.

In other words, sustaining the gap is big business.

I find the words of Scott Morrison’s closing the gap speech today completely disingenuous. The Prime Ministers’ remarks are as hollow as the eucalyptus limbs used to produce the didgeridoo.

We must put a stop to entrenching the victimhood status on our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people.

The majority are not victims. They are capable… resilient… and valuable Australians who should be encouraged to participate in Australia’s optimistic future.

Our nation’s history is not perfect. We know that.

But we will only close the gap when we treat all Australians equally, and on an individual needs basis – not based on race.

Indigenous recognition a regression to a racist Constitution

MEDIA RELEASE

5 August 2021

Recognising indigenous people and enshrining a voice to Parliament would be a regressive step for a Constitution which has been colour-blind for more than 50 years.

One Nation leader Senator Pauline Hanson today told Parliament her party opposed the ‘divisive and racist’ campaign for indigenous recognition and enshrining an indigenous voice to Parliament in the Australian Constitution.

“This isn’t progress,” Senator Hanson said. “It’s regression.

“Since the historic 1967 referendum which removed all specific references to indigenous people, the Constitution has been colour-blind. That’s the way it should be.

“Indigenous people are already recognised in the Constitution without being mentioned specifically. It has many references to ‘the people’ and ‘electors’, which today means every Australian voting adult regardless of race.

“Those proposing indigenous recognition and a voice to Parliament in the Constitution are taking a backward step, making it a racist document again by singling out a particular race of people to be treated differently from other Australians.

“Parliamentarians backing the voice to Parliament seem to forget there are already 227 voices in Parliament representing indigenous people, including several who identify as indigenous themselves.

“One adult, one vote – it’s the only way that’s free and fair.

“Parliament’s focus should be on practical measures which make a real difference in improving outcomes and empowering indigenous people – not as a race, but as individual Australians – to fully participate in the national economy and Australian society. We don’t need more of the same failures like ATSIC. We don’t need more of the same useless symbolism.”
